Current Position
Head of Physics and Head of House, Ockbrook School.

Initial Training
Physics with Laser Physics then PGCE.

Career
Teacher for 12 years, and 4 years working for British Rail as a signalling design engineer.

Personal Interests
I play most sports, mainly football and have a keen interest in dancing having been to salsa lessons for 5 years. I am now attempting ballroom which is more of a challenge than teaching year 9 on a Friday afternoon!

Aim/Mission
As the local network coordinator my aims are to enthuse teachers by introducing new ideas for teaching Physics and develop a culture of teachers sharing their own good practice. I also would like to set up a support service for experienced teachers of Physics, non-subject specialists and probationary teachers.
