Welsh Physics Teachers Meeting

The Welsh Physics Teachers Meeting is an annual event that has grown out of a smaller meeting of Powys Physics Teachers. The main purpose of the day is to meet, chat and swap ideas with colleagues. The day is organised so that there are plenty of opportunities to do so as well as some more structured sessions. The day is planned so that it includes:

  • A bring and tell session - bring your ideas (or someone else's) and share them with us
  • A lecture from someone doing cutting edge research
  • A teacher based workshop

The day is intended to be an informal event where everyone will be able to extract something of value, even if that means that you spend all day discussing ideas with someone else and missing all the sessions! The meeting is open to all, those teaching in the Marches or from further afield are also welcome to join us. The format of the meeting is flexible and those attending will have the chance to voice their opinions as to how the meeting should develop in future years.

The 8th Welsh Physics Teachers Meeting will be held at Christ College, Brecon
