Physics Update

As part of its active involvement in supporting physics in schools and colleges, the Institute of Physics arranges courses throughout the year for experienced and practising teachers of physics.

Why should I go on this course?

  • to update your knowledge of recent developments in physics;
  • to explore new practical activities and resources for use in the classroom;
  • for opportunities to talk informally and share ideas with other physics specialists;
  • and in turn, through your own teaching, extend and enrich students’ learning.

How do I apply?

Download the Application Form (PDF, 44 KB) and return the completed form by post or email the application details to Manchi Chung

The Institute of Physics is keen to welcome teachers who have not had the opportunity to attend a Physics Update course before; therefore we will be giving priority to new applicants. We will also be reserving a number of places for teachers who have attended previous Physics Updates.
