External Bodies Awards

A number of bodies award research grants and other funding for projects both in the UK and abroad. The following are a small number of these.

• British Science Association Media Fellowships
  Intended to create greater awareness and understanding of the workings of the media among practising engineers and scientists.

  Funding for Research Scientists.
• British Council Partnerships
  Developed to promote links and contacts between British and other European higher education, research institutions and laboratories.
• Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship Program
  Awards available to students from other Commonwealth countries for graduate study in Canada.
• Marie-Curie Actions
  This website provides an overview of the training, mobility and career development opportunities covered under the European Union's Framework Programme for R&D.
• ERASMUS
  The SOCRATES/ERASMUS programme offers you the chance to study abroad in another European country. Study grants are available.
