This event brought together business people, policymakers and educationalists to discuss how physics supports sustainable economic development and what the future might hold for physics based businesses in Scotland.
The meeting was opened by Dave Wilson from SELEX Galileo. Stephen McGeoch from Thales UK – and chair of the Institute of Physics in Scotland – provided an introduction to the topic.
The presentations were followed by a debate and open forum discussion, chaired by Stephen McGeoch. The meeting concluded with a buffet and networking session giving delegates the opportunity to discuss the issues that had been raised and explore the possibility of collaboration with other interested parties.
