Network Membership
The Business Affiliates Network is structured according to business size and organisation type to facilitate networking opportunities and event participation. For large organisations, we encourage the nomination of both senior and scientific/professional representatives to maximise the engagement of the organisation in the network as a whole.

Membership of the network is free
Nominated contacts must be individual members of the Institute. If nominated contacts are not currently individual members, we will enrol them as affiliate members (£83 fee per year) as part of the application process (affiliate membership is available for people without a physical sciences training). This ensures that contacts receive Physics World, Interactions and other communications as part of their member's package which keep them informed about the Institute's activities.
Organisations are also encouraged to affiliate on a site basis and membership is open to both those based in the UK and internationally.
Your Commitment
Membership is available to organisations that wish to engage with the work of the Institute and have a commitment to participate in the network, through, for example:
- contributing to periodic surveys and policy consultations;
- promoting Institute activities and events within their organisation.
