IoP Quiz night

6 July 2017

Monday, June 19th saw the North East Branch of the Institute of Physics host a Quiz at the Durham Amateur Rowing Club. Students from Newcastle and Durham faced off against each other in a pub-style quiz featuring rounds on general knowledge, the North East, and, of course, Physics. Participants where tested on the difference between quasars and pulsars, Nobel Prize winners and small Swedish towns which have four elements named after them. Participants enjoyed the quiz and the buffet spread put on by the IOP. The winners and runners up each received a prize of a sampler box of Green & Black's chocolate.

"Lovely evening, great fun, plenty of food. Look forward to the next one." – Chris Maxwell
