This year’s qubitter saw 30 students and staff from Loughborough University gather in the Paget Arms to listen to Prof Neil Stansfield (Head: Knowledge, Innovation, and Futures Enterprise Defence Science and Technology Laboratory) speak on "The implications of the fourth industrial revolution for the defence and security of the UK
“ and Prof Philip Moriarty (Nottingham) talk about "When scientists sell pseudoscience: The many worlds of (quantum) woo”.

This provided an interesting mix of understanding the place of quantum physics in a wider societal context, the effects of misrepresenting science and some very nice science.
