Congratulations to David Thomson, winner of the picture competition

15 September 2015

David’s picture of a solar farm in Little Morton, near the town of Retford in the East Midlands, was taken using a remote control helicopter. His photo can now be seen on our webpage.

Some months ago we decided that although we really like our picture of Green’s Mill on our webpage it was time for a change. But what should we change it to? We couldn’t decide so we asked the question of everyone in the East Midlands. ”Please send us a picture that represents both physics and the East Midlands” we cried – and you did (thank you)!

We enjoyed looking at all your photos and voted at our committee meeting to award the winners of each age category:

Primary: Isobel Steele, aged 6, with her photo of Skegness
