South West

This branch, one of the thirteen regional branches of the Institute, organises lectures, meetings and conferences for its members in the South West, and works locally to promote physics, physics education and public understanding of physics.

Events information

All our current and forthcoming events can be found on the Branch Calendar.

All meetings are free to members and visitors, and light refreshments are usually provided in the half hour before the event. Most meetings are suitable for sixth-form students. It would be appreciated if you would inform the local contact for the talk if you intend to bring a group of ten or more. If you have any suggestions regarding future speakers or topics, or would like to put forward an alternative venue, please let a member of the committee know.
