Nanoscience is an exciting new field of science involving the study and manipulation of matter on the scale of nanometres, that is objects from 1/1000 to 1/1000,000 of a millimetre in size. New experimental techniques developed to study the physics and chemistry of matter at these length scales are now beginning to have a major impact on subjects such as cell and molecular biology, and hold out the possibility of major new technologies for the future in areas ranging from electronics to medicine.
To explore this exciting and fast developing field the IOP SW branch will host a series three talks from world leading experts in nanoscience.
