Early Career Awards
These were formerly the Principal Awards. These awards are to be made annually to ‘young’ physicists in the first twelve years of a research career (allowing for career breaks), e.g. following the award of a PhD.
 | Maxwell medal and prize The award shall be made for distinguished research in theoretical physics, mathematical or computational physics. |
Previously the Boys medal and prize | Moseley medal and prize The award shall be made for distinguished research in experimental physics. |
 | Paterson medal and prize The award shall be made for distinguished research in applied physics. |
