CP, R invariance and non-renormalization theorems in N=1 supergravity

I. Affleck and M. Dine
Joseph Henry Labs., Princeton Univ., NJ, USA

Abstract. N=1 supergravity models have new, CP violating phases which can give too large a neutron electric dipole moment. The authors show that, in large classes of models, these phases are naturally approximately 10-15 or approximately lambda 2/4 pi 2 (where lambda is a Yukawa coupling). This results from a connection between CP and R invariance, a novel consequence of non-renormalization theorems, and a general fermion-boson mass relation
