Did you know that butterfly wings hold the key to inventing new electronic displays? To find out how, TamarSciencePark has invited 200 students from across Devon and Cornwall to meet practising scientists on the Park at an Institute of Physics (IOP) event on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 November.

The students will enjoy a tour of the park and discover how science helps us with issues ranging from saving the lives of babies in the womb and diagnosing and treating heart diseases to designing submarines or predicting the weather.

The event is all part of Physics Forward, a new event for Year 11 students organised by the IOP, which gives youngsters the chance to meet young, professional scientists and see what a career in science is really like.
