Journals

Members can purchase personal subscriptions to Institute journals at heavily discounted prices.

Members of the Institute of Physics can now take advantage of a discount offer of more than 50% off a personal subscription to Astronomy & Geophysics.

Books

The Taylor & Francis Group offer Institute members a 25% discount. For details of the discount, please click here

Software

The Institute has negotiated a range of discounted software through Citnexus. The range includes products from Microsoft, Macromedia, Quark, FileMaker and TurboCab. This software is at heavily discounted prices and only available to members.

Under this agreement the price includes manufacturers’ media and an invoice as proof of ownership of the license. Manuals are not included. Purchases can be made by credit card using Citnexus' secure on-line payment system or PayPal. Orders are normally dispatched the same working day subject to stock availability.

A login and password will be e-mailed to you, with this you will be able to login and view the range of products available to members and the current pricing and make on-line purchases.

Membership of other organisations

Special arrangements exist for members belonging to, or wishing to join, other organisations

–        discounts for Institute members on membership of the British Association for the Advancement of Science (The BA) are described in more detail here .

–        Reciprocal membership discounts (25%) are in place for members of the Institute who also belong to:

o         Royal Astronomical Society

o         Royal Metereological Society

o         Institute of Physics in Engineering and Medicine
