The vision for EPL is to become a leading home for global physics letters, to offer rapid publication of ground-breaking physics results from the international community, and to provide the broadest coverage of physics research, including those letters with application potential.
Open Access Opportunities
A single-article fee of €1,000 ($1,330) can be paid by individuals who choose to have their article published in EPL freely accessible by all. For full details read the January 2008 Publisher's Note.

EPL is delighted to offer open access free of charge to all authors submitting experimental and theoretical letters in PACS codes 10 and 20. This offer will remain open until the SCOAP3 agreement at CERN takes effect. Free Open Access articles are listed here
Quo vadis EPL?
With effect of January 1st, 2007 ‘Europhysics Letters’ was renamed, the new branding being ‘EPL’. Along with this formal change went a new vision and definition for the aims of EPL over a time horizon of five years. Read the latest progress update in a New Year Editorial here.
