Article Grouping by Subject SectionsJournal of Physics B: Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics has introduced subject sections into which research papers are categorized. Below is a list of subfields that define the content of these sections. Please note that this list is not exhaustive and while we hope it will help our readers access the content of the journal, we recognize that some papers may fit into more than one subject section. Ultimately the primary focus of a particular paper will determine in which category it should appear. We will undertake to inform our authors when we believe that their paper is more suitable for publication in a subject section different from the one originally chosen. We would like to invite authors who are unsure where to submit their papers to keep closely in mind the audience they are addressing. For instance a paper presenting data obtained following a collision experiment, but of use to Astro- or Plasma- Physicists, should be submitted to our "Astrophysics and Plasma Physics" section. Please contact us at jphysb@iop.org if you would like to receive more information on these sections.
