New Editor-in-Chief

Smart Materials and Structures (SMS) is proud to announce the appointment of Professor Ephrahim Garcia as the new Editor-in-Chief.

Professor Garcia's distinguished career includes four years as a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency, USA and seven years at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. He is now affiliated with the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Cornell University.

Please join us in thanking Professor Vijay Varadan and Professor Richard Claus for all their hard work over the years as the former Editors of the journal and in welcoming Professor Garcia to this post.
