Flatland Physics Probes Mysteries of Superfluidity If physicists lived in Flatland—the fictional two-dimensional world invented by Edwin Abbott in his 1884 novel—some of their quantum physics experiments would turn out differently (not just thinner) than those in our world. Atomic Physics on the Internet. This Web site is more plasma biased but it still contains many useful links to atomic physics sites worldwide as well as links to databases such as the Opactiy Project Database, the NIST PRD Databases and the GAPHYOR Data Centre.

International Cold Atom Network (INTERCAN). The aim of this network is to promote European Research and Education in the domain of Ultracold Dilute Atomic Systems and their Applications. It provides physicists with a European platform for information exchange and collaboration.

The Center for Ultracold Atoms (CUA) is a research community at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University that pursues scientific opportunities made possible by the advent of ultracold atoms and molecules.

INFM Research and Development Center on Bose-Einstein Condensation (BEC) promotes theoretical research on the various phenomena related to Bose-Einstein condensation and to the physics of cold atomic gases in traps.

The Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Quantum-Atom Optics (ACQAO) combines pre-eminent Australian theoretical and experimental research groups in quantum and atom optics. Its aim is to create a powerful network to advance the rapidly developing field of Quantum-Atom Optics.
