Abstract. The possibility of the joint decay of two holes and one excited electron is discussed as one way many-electron Auger transitions can take place. It is shown that existing experimental decay spectra of reasonably excited states in krypton and xenon exhibit weak lines which may be associated with this new type of Auger process.
