Registration, Conference Fees

Key Dates

Registration includes attendance at the sessions, refreshments throughout the meeting, lunch on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 July, attendance at the drinks reception on Monday 23 July and a copy of the conference abstracts.

Please note that the registration fee does not include accommodation or evening meals.

Membership
Members of the Institute of Physics

• All members of the Institute of Physics including those with applications pending
• Staff at Institute Affiliated Plus Schools
• Members of co-sponsoring Institutes and Societies
• Members of other Physics societies which have a Companion Society or other collaboration agreement with the Institute of Physics
• Members of the BAN (Business Affiliates Network).

Concessionary
The Concessionary rate is available to student and retired members and those on a career break or a low income. (Please submit proof of status together with your registration form).

Non-Members
Registrants paying this fee will automatically become affiliate members of the Institute of Physics for 12 months and will receive copies of Physics World. As an affiliate member you will be entitled to attend all conferences at the member’s rate for the year and to join one technical or professional group at no extra charge.

Registration
On-line registration is now open.
Members or Concessionary Members of the Institute of Physics will be required to submit their membership number when registering. For members of other societies, please indicate from the drop down list to which society you belong. Note on-line registrations will only be accepted if accompanied by a valid credit of debit card; all payments will be processed securely using WorldPay. Confirmation of payment will be sent to you by e-mail once the transaction has been completed.

If you are unable to pay by debit or credit card please download a PDF Registration Form and mail together with a remittance for fees to Registrations Department, The Institute of Physics, 76 Portland Place, London W1B 1NT, UK. You can also fax it to +44 (0)20 7470 4900.

Please note that unless payment is received prior to the conference, your booking will not be guaranteed.

Value Added Tax
Charges shown in this document are exempt from VAT unless otherwise indicated. Where VAT is applicable it is shown and calculated at the current standard rate of 17.5%. If the rate is altered as a result of government legislation charges may be adjusted accordingly. A tax invoice/receipt will be issued to those indicating that this is required on the registration form. The Institute's VAT registration number is 461-6000-84.

Confirmation of Booking
On-line - Confirmation of your booking will appear on the screen prior to entering payment details. Please print this page for your records. Confirmation will follow via mail within five days of registering.
Registration via hard copy - Confirmation of your booking will be sent within ten days of registering. If payment is not enclosed with your registration form, you will receive a pro-forma invoice which must be paid prior to the conference.

Cancellations
No payment can be refunded to those canceling after 23 June 2007. For those canceling before the 23 June, a 20% administration charge will be applied.
