| Date: | 14 - 16 September 2009 |
| Venue: | Wills Hall, Bristol |
| Organised by: | Polymer Physics Group of the Institute of Physics |
This conference is the 24th in a series of meetings dating back to the 1960s, when Andrew Keller and Ian Ward first established the Polymer Physics Group. The meeting has a broad remit, attracting delegates from across the polymer community, and providing a forum in which the younger members of the community can showcase their work. Ph.D. students are particularly encouraged to attend.
The format of the meeting involves four invited talks, presentation of the group’s Founders’ Prize and prize for Best Student Paper, as well as the DPOLY/PPG Exchange Lecture. The rest of the program will be filled with contributed talks and posters in sessions themed around the contributions of the invited lecturers.
The Invited speakers are:
The 2009 Founders’ Prize lecture will be given by:
Prof. Athene Donald, FRS, University of Cambridge, Physics
Polymer Physics in a Biological Context
The 2009 DPOLY/PPG Exchange Lecture will be given by:
Prof. Connie Roth, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia
Influence of Thermal Stresses on the Physical Aging of Thin Polymer Films
| Abstract Submission Deadline | 12 June 2009 |
| Abstract Notification of Acceptance | 26 June 2009 |
The Polymer Physics Group prize for Best Student Paper will be awarded at the conference. More details can be found here.
