Forthcoming Institute Conferences
Social Programme
In tradition with previous S&A Conferences there will be a varied social programme. This will include an informal welcome reception, a visit to Anfield, Liverpool's Football ground and a Conference Dinner in the one of the country's largest Victorian greenhouses 'Sefton Park Palm House'.
Monday 10 September
A welcome reception will be held at Liverpool John Moores University on the evening of Monday 10 September. Following the reception, participants are invited to explore Liverpool's City Centre or dine at ASK, a pizzeria and pasta restaurant. The menu will consists of three courses, one glass of house wine (or soft drink) and coffee. Further information will be available upon registration.
Tuesday 11 September
A dinner and tour of Anfield, Liverpool's Football ground will take place on Tuesday 11 September. Liverpool Football Club is England's most successful football club adn has a record 18 League Championships, 14 League and FA Cups, plus 3 UEFA and European SuperCups apiece.
The tour will take place prior to dinner and will enable participants to view the press rooms, the dressing room and to walk the tunnel to the pitch side. A drinks reception will be held alongside the tour in the Trophy Room. Dinner will follow.
Coaches will depart from outside the Peter Jost Centre at 18:20 to transport participants to the ground; coaches will collect from the ground at 22:30 to transport participants back to Opal Court. Wednesday 12 September
The conference dinner and pre-dinner reception will be held at Sefton Park Palm House, one of the largest greenhouses in the country. The evening will consist of an informal drinks reception on the lawn followed by a barbecue (weather permitting). Seating will be provided inside the Greenhouse.
Coaches will depart from Opal Court at 18:30 to transport participants to Sefton Park; coaches will collect from the Palm House at 22:30 to transport participants back to Opal Court. Only the social events on Tuesday and Wednesday are included in the full fee. The evening meal on Monday is an optional extra.
