Abstract Submission

The deadline for contributions of oral presentations has now passed. Please note that due to the extended deadline of the abstract submission, notification of acceptance will be later than originally intended - we will notify authors of a decision as soon as the programme is confirmed.

We may still be able to accept post deadline poster presentations. If you wish to send one, please submit by e-mail to lisa.cornwell_AT_iop.org. Please note however that we cannot guarantee that there are available spaces for these.

Abstracts should be a maximum of 600 words in length and may include up to three references; one figure is permitted. Please read the guidelines below prior to submitting your abstract; failure to do so may result in your abstract appearing in sub optimal quality.

  • Select to upload a word document or submit plain text
  • Indicate corresponding and presenting author
  • Submit your abstract title in lower case with only the first letter capitalised
  • Select your presentation preference - the programme committee will note your request but cannot guarantee your preferred choice.
  • Indicate if Student Work

If selecting to upload a word document, please also note the following:

  • The abstract text should be formatted using 11 point Arial (or equivalent)
  • Captions should be formatted using 10 point Arial (or equivalent)
  • Text should be set to single line spacing.
  • References should occur within square brackets and numbered sequentially e.g.[1]
