This 3-day topical conference will focus primarily on current research (theory and experiment) into the sizes and shapes of atomic nuclei, with a view towards future opportunities. Of special interest will be nuclei far from stability, weak binding, and angular momentum effects: halos, skins, pygmy collective modes, shell quenching, continuum coupling, elongated shapes, asymmetric shapes, and shape coexistence.

The symposium will be based on invited and contributed talks, the latter being selected from submitted abstracts. A poster session will be included.

The symposium celebrates 50 years of nuclear physics research at the University of Surrey and its predecessor, the Battersea College of Technology.
