Registration Fees
The registration fee includes attendance at all lectures, refreshments and lunch for the duration of the event, welcome reception on Tuesday 31 March inclusive of buffet, the conference dinner on Wednesday 1 April and all conference material. Please note that accommodation and the evening meal on Monday are not included within the fee and must be pre-booked separately.
Accommodation
Accommodation is available on campus and must be pre-booked when registering for the conference. The rates quoted are per room per night on a bed and breakfast basis. For further information see 'Venue and Accommodation' under useful links.

Evening Meals
An optional buffet on Monday is available for participants wishing to stay on campus. The buffet includes tea and coffee and is charged at £17 per person. The meal must be booked when registering for the conference.
On Tuesday 31 March, a buffet dinner will be provided during the poster session and on Wednesday 1 April the Conference Dinner will be held. The buffet and Conference Dinner is included within the registration fee.
Social Programme
The social programme including the buffet and welcome reception and conference dinner is included in the registration fee. Additional places at the conference dinner can be booked at £35.00 plus vat.
In addition, a tour to Diamond Light Source will be offered in the afternoon of April 2nd (ca 2pm to 5pm, i.e. after the end of the conference) at a charge of £5 in order to cover the coach transfer. The tour can be booked together with the registration for the conference. Since the numbers are limited, places on the tour will be allocated at a first-come-first-serve basis.

Concessionary
The Concessionary rate is available to student and retired members of the Institute of Physics and those on a career break or a low income.

Register On-line
On-line registration is recommended, and is the most secure method for those wishing to pay by credit or debit card. All payments will be processed securely using WorldPay and confirmation of your payment will be sent by e-mail once the transaction is complete

Confirmation of Booking
On-line - Confirmation of your booking will appear on the screen prior to entering payment details. Please print this page for your records. Confirmation will follow via mail within five days of registering.
Registration via hard copy - Confirmation of your booking will be sent within ten days of registering. If payment is not enclosed with your registration form, you will receive a pro-forma invoice which must be paid prior to the conference.

Value Added Tax
Charges shown in this document are exempt from VAT unless otherwise indicated. Where VAT is applicable it is shown and calculated at the current standard rate of 15%. If the rate is altered as a result of government legislation charges may be adjusted accordingly. A tax invoice/receipt will be issued to those indicating that this is required on the registration form. The Institute's VAT registration number is 461-6000-84.
Cancellations
Registrants who cancel their booking before the cancellation deadline of 16 March 2009 will receive a full refund minus a 20% administrative charge. All cancellations must be in writing (please note that organisers cannot accept any cancellation made over the telephone, unless it is accompanied by a cancellation of the booking in writing). No refund can be made to those notifying cancellation from 17 March 2009.
