Call for papers

IMPORTANT DEADLINE EXTENSION

In order to allow more time for the submission of full papers for the Proceedings Volume of the EMAG 2009 Conference, the Editors have decided to extend the deadline by which time full papers should be submitted to Monday 6 July. Full details on paper submission can be found on this website and submissions should be made using the Editorial Manager system at:

http://www.editorialmanager.com/emag/

We hope that this will allow you to contribute a full paper, if you have been unable to do so to date.

We thank all authors for their contributions to the EMAG 2009 conference and Proceedings."

Submission Instructions

We now ask authors to prepare and submit their full papers. Papers must be prepared using the Word template provided. Templates for authors wishing to print using either A4 or US letter format paper, an example paper containing detailed formatting information and a document containing guidelines on template preparation are available. The Assignment of Copyright form should also be downloaded, signed, scanned to produce a PDF file and then the PDF file uploaded when submitting your paper.

For EMAG 2009, papers must be of the following lengths:

Plenary contributions                8 pages

Invited contributions                  6 pages

Contributed papers                   4 pages

Please avoid generating very large document files by the use of excessively high resolution in figures.

Figures should be designed to be clear and legible when published in black and white in the hardcopy of Proceedings volume.

Once you have prepared your paper using the Word template, please use it to generate a PDF file. The PDF file should then be submitted via the Editorial Manager web page for the EMAG 2009 conference.

Your paper will be peer reviewed by the conference organisers. Journal of Physics: Conference Series will use your final accepted PDF file for online and print publication.

Please note that no editing, proofreading or layout changes will be made. The time and effort spent in preparing and formatting your paper will be welcomed by the researchers who download it.

To submit your full paper, please login to the Editorial Manager web page for the EMAG 2009 conference using your username and password.

On your "Author Main Menu" page you will see a link called "Submissions Needing Revision". Please click on this link to begin submitting your full paper.

Please note that Full Papers are considered to be a revision of your original abstract.

Once you have clicked "Submissions Needing Revision" you can click on the "Actions Link" and choose "Revise Submission" to begin submitting the revised abstract (i.e. full paper).

Please submit your full proceedings paper as a PDF file NOT as a Word file.

During submission, please ensure that you

(1) Choose "EMAG 2009 Full Proceedings Paper" as the article type

(2) Please be sure to select the correct Section/Category for your full paper. You were informed of this in the e-mail from the Editors informing you of the acceptance of your contribution. Note that this may be different from Section/Category for which you originally expressed a preference.

Naming of files: For each paper submitted, the PDF files should be named using the family name of the presenting author. If more than one paper is to be submitted by the same author, a number should follow the family name, e.g., smith1.pdf and then smith2.pdf etc.

We look forward to publishing your work and hope that Journal of Physics: Conference Series provides a useful research resource. Thank you for your contribution.
