| Date: | Sun, 14 September 2008 to Mon, 15 September 2008 |
|---|---|
| Venue: | Imperial College London, Dept of Chemical Engineering, London, UK |
| Organised by: | Polymer Physics Group of the Institute of Physics |
| Sponsored by: | Imperial College London, ISIS UK, Institut Laue-Langevin (France), Neutron Scattering & Materials and Characterisation Groups of the IOP |

Neutron scattering has contributed dramatically to our understanding of polymers for over three decades. Neutrons have provided critical insight into the conformation of macromolecules in melts and solutions, validated reptation mechanisms and dynamics, revealed polymer mixture interactions and elucidated interfacial phenomena. This meeting reviews recent advances in polymer science made possible by neutron scattering and discusses the future of “Polymers and Neutron Scattering” as instrumentation continually improves.
The meeting is dedicated to Professor Dame Julia Higgins and will celebrate her numerous contributions to polymer science & neutron scattering in the UK and abroad.
An evening reception and dinner will take place on Sunday 14 September at Ognisko Restaurant, 55 Exhibition Road, London, SW7 2PN. The drinks reception will commence at 6:30pm and Dinner will start at 8:00pm sharp.
Accommodation details will follow very shortly.
