Date: | 9 September 2009 |
Venue: | Institute of Physics, London |
Organised by: | IOP Physics Communicators Group |
The Physics Communicators Inaugural Meeting brings together two well known figures in the world of physics and science communication and offers you the chance to meet other members and shape the future direction of group activities.
Professor Sir William Wakeham will give the keynote address reflecting on his recent report into the health and image of physics in the UK.
Sue Stocklmayer is Director of the Centre for Public Awareness of Science at the Australian National University and will present the second keynote lecture examining how the visitors to science centres interact and react to the exhibits and environment.
Networking opportunities and workshops covering topics from "Beyond the Lecture - Where Next?" to "What makes good communicators?" will give delegates the chance to discuss and debate.
